Thor Odinson, commonly known as Thor, has proven since his debut in 1962 as a character in the Marvel Universe to be a powerhouse and skilled fighter. Together with his Mjolnir, an enchanted hammer that grants him a plethora of powers, he had blasted his way right to the top of the most recognizable Marvel heroes. An Asgardian prince and earth’s hero, he is a tough nut to crack on his day.
On the other end of the spectrum, is another hero who is considered something of a maverick, the Hulk. The Hulk is a demolishing force, and when in full gear, there is very little anyone could do to stop him. With powers fuelled by rage and incidences where he splits into different personalities of the Hulk, it is rather difficult to stall his rampage.
There is no doubt that both Thor and Hulk are brave defenders of the earth. However, who would win when they fight each other.
Thor is the son of Odin and the god of Thunder. His superhuman strength, speed, agility, longevity, and durability are only heightened by the presence of his enchanted hammer Mjolnir. The Mjolnir grants him the power to manipulate electricity and the weather. It also allows him to fly and travel between dimensions.
Thor has no notable weaknesses except for being susceptible to magic and magical weapons. Also, weapons such as the Teeth of Jormugandr and the Twilight Sword can deal an extensive level of damage on him. Also, his pride, anger, and underestimation of his opponent can cause him to lose out in a fight as demonstrated a couple of times in battle with Iron Man and Captain America.
Hulk is the smash-smash guy we all know, and kind of love in the Marvel Universe. He is the other side of Bruce Banner that was created after exposure to gamma radiation following an explosion. His power ranges from immense strength that grows the angrier he gets to incredible regenerative powers. He also can leap over great distances, and he is immune to telepathy, although he can still be controlled using magic. Hulk’s blood can also give life.
Hulk is susceptible to injury from adamantium and vibranium, and also struggles with self-control. He also struggles with magic as said above.
Verdict
Thor is capable of pulling off anything. His incredible fighting skills and the sheer volume of electricity he can summon upon Hulk are an asset. However, the Hulk takes this one. Countless times, the Hulk has subdued Thor, and on one occasion had almost wrecked havoc on Asgard when Loki took over his mind. So, if Thor and the Hulk engage each other in a fight, the Hulk would win.
