Will Avengers:Endgame introduce this New Superhero in MCU?
It seems that Captain Marvel won’t be the only new superhero, who’ll meet the Avengers in the upcoming Avengers Endgame. Incidentally, there is going to be another superhero making his debut.
Can you guess the name of this upcoming Avenger?
Ever since the first trailer of the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Endgame dropped on the web, fans have been buzzing about the film and penning down theories and speculations about the possibilities in this epic conclusion. Last year, news had hit the web that Marvel is in development of its characters like Captain Britain and The Black Knight, with Guy Ritchie helming the project.
Now, MCU Cosmic has reported that the lesser known character called Dane Whitman, a.k.a. The Black Knight will be introduced into the MCU in Avengers: Endgame. According to the entertainment portal, the character will be introduced through the Quantum Realm. While neither Kevin Feige, nor the Russo Brothers or anyone else from the studio has confirmed this information, so take it with a pinch of salt, yet, it makes sense for the Black Knight to come through the Quantum Realm.
We will have our fill of the Quantum Realm in Avengers: Endgame. Why? Because in Ant-Man and the Wasp, the end credit scene showed us that Scott a.k.a. Ant-Man gets trapped in the Quantum Realm during the end credit scene because the entire Pym family gets dusted because of Thanos’ snap. However, in the first trailer for Avengers 4, Ant-Man is seen outside the Avengers facility, so clearly, he got out – maybe with the help of Black Knight. Guess, we’ll find out soon enough.
If you aren’t familiar with the Black Knight, here’s your geek history lesson for the day – Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe created the Black Knight. The superhero carries a cursed magical sword, which has been passed down for generations and goes back to the days of King Arthur, the first King of England.
Incidentally, Whitman had an uncle who used the magical sword for evil, but at the time of his passing, he repented and left the sword to his nephew in hopes that Whitman will help regain the family honor by doing right by the sword.
